Our home base is more than just an office, it’s a buzzing hub with a big, bright showroom, a well-oiled warehouse, and a team that knows how to get things done (and have a laugh while doing it). We’re proudly Tasmanian-owned and run by three local women who keep the wheels turning with energy and expertise.

Where We Come From
Every great brand has a story and ours begins with a bold idea, a borrowed $1,000, and a whole lot of hustle.
In 1991, during a challenging economic climate, Sue Hickey launched Slick Promotions in Hobart, Tasmania. With just a small loan from her father, she transformed a one-woman operation into one of Tasmania’s leading suppliers of promotional merchandise and uniforms. Sue’s passion for her clients and building relationships with suppliers laid a foundation for her staff and helped shape the values instilled in the business.
In 2018, Sue transitioned into politics, being elected to the Tasmanian House of Assembly. To avoid any potential conflicts of interest, she made the decision to sell the business, ensuring that Slick Promotions could continue to thrive under new leadership.
In 2020 a new location saw a new name and Slick Branding was born.
In 2022 Slick Branding was in search of a new owner and it got two. To avoid any chance of the company being absorbed by interstate parties and to keep the business local, two long term staff members Alanna Lazarus and Alena Gough bought the business and took over from July 1st 2022. Having each worked in the business for 12 years and 17 years respectively, it was a natural transition in to ownership. In January 2024 Kayla Fiddaman joined the ownership team, having worked for the business for the last 10 years.
